Fall has definitely revealed itself! That means the wild bird activity in your back yard and at your bird feeding station is likely to increase. Juncos are pouring in and migration is going strong.

Some people don’t get serious about feeding birds until we get closer to winter which is just fine. In general, the birds are able to survive winter without the feeders, however, I can assure you that bird feeding definitely helps many birds survive that wouldn’t otherwise – especially during periods of heavy snow or very cold temperatures.
